Learn About Our Community Garden
Who we are:
Giles Community Garden was founded in 2014 as a partnership between the Giles Breakfast Lions Club and Christ Episcopal Church with a mission to:
"Nourish mind, body, and soul by fighting childhood obesity with nutritional education and through participation in cultivating the garden."
Additional partnerships were cultivated and the Giles Community Garden has also partnered with Head Start and Giles Family Perseveration Services.
However, we encourage community members of all ages to join us as partners, sponsors, volunteers, or participants at any of our up and coming events.
Our garden works because of the kindness and generosity of community members of all ages that work together to plant the seeds and help cultivate their growth. When ready, produce is distributed throughout the community (and goes home with all who volunteer), free of charge.
What makes our garden unique is that this is a space dedicated to providing food for the body and soul, free of charge.
